Before there were beautiful tiers of wedding cakes, dessert gifts, magazine and blog features…all before a Home Baking Business and 4 figure cake opportunities…there was an overwhelmed corporate girl.
With a vision to start…her dreams…
In order to inspire, encourage and empower others though cakes
Super scared of failure…
A constant procrastinator, who allowed fear to stop her from stepping out…

Wedding Cakes, Desserts & Lots of Trial and Error…

My shift from a trial and error corporate analyst/part time baker to full time home business baker to cake pricing strategist was anything but a smooth transition.
Though I worked full-time in corporate and sold cakes and cupcakes part – time, I knew that my passion and heart wanted to be in the baking world…
I just didn’t know how to do it…
This fear kept me in my safe corporate job so much so that over the years…
I had somehow become a “yes girl”, which lead to burn out then anxiety attacks and serious dread that things would never change…
So I decided to walk away from my corporate job to pursue my passion. And in doing so, I officially started my home baking business.
…Then There Was The Cake Pricing Struggle
I’ve created everything from birthday cakes to wedding cakes and desserts in between and have always been able to teach myself the new cake decorating trends…
But there was one thing that felt like it was always a STRUGGLE – CAKE PRICING
I always had this weird awkward feeling when it came to pricing for a several reasons
I just didn’t know what to include – years ago I was told my ingredients cost x 3 (this is wrong- please don’t do this)
It felt like a long drawn out process to figure it out – I didn’t have time for all of that math
When I would discount my price to not sound expensive – I was still ghosted or ridiculed for being too “expensive”
This truly affected my confidence because there was so much uncertainty…
But I didn’t give up…
In addition to investing in my business education I started using some of my analytical and problem solving skills from the corporate world to research, plan and implement strategies that helped me to:
Calculate and be confident with my prices
Increase my sales…
Stand out as a professional home business baker
Grow my home bakery to a 3 and 4 figure wedding and celebration cake business
…But it was also during this time that I quickly realized
That there was tons of help for baking and cake decorating but little to no help for bakers who needed help with the same things I had struggled with and overcame in my home cake business
SO, I DECIDED TO BE THE CHANGE

Because walking in my Passion is not at odds with helping others do the same…
